Use Of Garden Hoses Is Prohibited


Water is the number one expense for the Home Owners Association.

On March 17, 2009, the Board enacted a rule prohibiting the use of garden hoses, effective April 21, 2009.  Home owners were notified about this rule in a letter postmarked May 5, 2009.

1.  Rule.  No Owner or resident shall use any hoses outside of a residence within the Madison Hill community, including but no limited to the use of such hoses for exterior landscape watering or car washing.  Any hose attached to an exterior spigot will be considered in use for purpose of this rule.

2.  Enforcement.  Owners will be required to immediately remove and cease the use of any exterior hose upon notice from the Association.  Violations of this rule shall be subject to the following fine schedule, after the Owner being provided with notice and an opportunity for a hearing as more fully provided in the Association's covenant enforcement policy:

First Offense:  $25.00 fine
Second Offense:  $50.00 fine
Third Offense:  $100. fine
Fourth Offense:  $200.00 maximum fine
